What This Website Collects
You can read every page of this website without giving us any information. We do not run analytics, we do not use advertising or tracking tools, and this website sets no cookies of its own. Like any website, the server that hosts these pages keeps standard technical logs, such as the address of your device, the pages requested, and the time of each request. Our hosting provider maintains those logs to run and secure the server.
The Contact Form
If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive what you type into it: your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and message.
The form also records some technical details with each message, which appear at the bottom of the email we receive: the date and time, the IP address your device used to reach this website, your browser and device description (the user agent), the page you came from if your browser reports it, and the score that Google reCAPTCHA gave your submission. We record these details so that we can recognize spam and abuse. They do not decide whether we read your message.
We use your name, email address, phone number, and message to answer your inquiry. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing you did not ask for.
Spam Protection and the Services We Use
To keep spam out of our inbox, the contact form uses several checks. Two of them involve other companies, so your information can reach them when you use the form:
- Google reCAPTCHA. The contact page loads Google reCAPTCHA, which analyzes how your browser interacts with the page and returns a score. Google receives information from your browser, such as your IP address, and may set cookies. Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and Terms of Service (opens in a new tab) apply. reCAPTCHA loads only on the contact page.
- AbuseIPDB. When you send a message, our server sends the IP address you used to AbuseIPDB, which returns a score showing how often that address has been reported for abuse. We add the score to the note we receive. It is informational, and it does not stop your message from reaching us. AbuseIPDB's own terms and privacy policy govern its handling of the address.
- Simple checks on our own server. The form has a hidden field that only automated programs fill in, and it checks how quickly a form was completed. These checks use no outside service.
How Your Message Reaches Us
The form sends your message by email through our web host's mail server to our business mailbox. Our email provider and web host handle the message on our behalf while it is delivered and stored. We do not publish messages sent through the form.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies of its own. On the contact page, Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies in your browser, as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the contact form may not work as expected if reCAPTCHA is blocked, in which case you can call us instead.
Other Websites
When you select a link to another website, you leave this website. The information you enter there is collected and handled under that website's own terms and privacy policy, not by this website. This is true of every website we link to, including Google, Yelp, Yellow Pages, and the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We are not responsible for how those websites handle information.
